To stay at the Hotel San Gabriel is like being a guest in a bonafide Spanish family. The house itself was built by Pizarro’s descendants in 1736. Hotel San Gabriel is located in Ronda’s historic district, within walking distance to the gorge and the modern parts of Ronda.
It is good to know that the parking space is located a bit far so check in first and park your car after.
Hotel San Gabriel has a feel of authenticity to it and there are many fine details to marvel at in the house. The rooms are clean, the bed very comfy and the bathroom ever so charming with the tiling in old Spanish style.
You can do a little wine tasting in the wine cellar which is filled with locally produced wine.
We really liked hotel San Gabriel and would like to stay here again (even though the breakfast was rather scarce). However, if you are the type who loves the minimalist Nordic style you will not like Hotel San Gabriel.
